Kindergarten Homework

    The first day of school, your child will be provided with a homework

folder.  Please check this folder daily.  On the right side, you
will see papers that can remain at home.  This is where you will find important papers for you to read over.  On the left side, you will see student homework, which should be returned to school the next day. With Kindergarten being full day, homework is optional.  You know your child best!  Some kids love having homework and others need time to rest and recharge for the next day.  Here are some suggestions:

  • Suggested things to work on:

        * Math Worksheet

        * Read 10 minutes (color in monthly calendar and have your child turn it in                     at the end of the month for a small prize from the treasure chest).
        * Review letters,  numbers, sight words
         * On occasion, you may see Language Arts Homework

  • Please feel free to read directions to your child; however, he/she should be able to do the work independently as it should be a review.

  • Homework should be "A Piece of Cake" in Kindergarten.  It should be a quick review of what we are learning in school. If your child is having difficulty, please let me know!
